トーリ・エイモスによる、男性ヴォーカルの楽曲のカヴァー集。 原曲のアレンジは殆ど活かされておらず、より重くアヴァンギャルドな方向に走っているのだが、歌メロは原曲を踏襲しているという不思議な作品。 チャートでの実績を確認すると、ビルボードで4位まで獲得しているのだが、リスナー層が思い浮かばない。 そんな作品ではあるがブリューの活躍度は極めて高い。 激しく歪んだブリューのギターが根幹をなしている曲もあれば、ひたすらノイズを発振している曲もある。 楽しそうにギターを演奏しているブリューの姿が目に浮かぶ。 （追加：2015年10月25日）

ベアーズが、2002年2月に行ったライヴを収録したアルバム。
傑作 『 Car Caught Fire 』 リリース後のライヴということもあり、同アルバムからの作品が多く収録されている。
演奏は一言で言ってしまえばラフ。　ポップでありながら丹念につくりこまれているところが味わい深かった   『 Car Caught Fire 』 と比較するとその落差は大きい。　アルバムのプロモーションを意図したものではなく、どちらかと言えば「アルバムつくった！　次はライヴだぜ！」的な勢いでつくられた作品だと思う。
もともと仲間内の趣味でやっているバンドなわけで、ブリューの粗製作品の一つとして寛容に受け止めることが必要だと思う。　ただ、サイケデリックな熊の絵のジャケットだけはやはりいただけないと思う。

TOKIO がデビュー10周年記念に発売したアルバム。 ジャニーズの先輩達の曲をカヴァーしている。
その中で、THE GOOD-BYE の ” 気まぐれOne Way Boy ” のバックの全てをブリューが担当している。 しかもその内容は、ドタバタとしたドラム、アーミングを多用したコード弾き、そしてアーミングとディストーションをかましたギター・ソロと、ブリューの良質なソロ・アルバムに収録されているような佳曲に仕上がっている。
ギター・ソロをチョロッと弾いて終わり、という選択肢もあったにもかかわらず、全力投球した作品を提供しているブリューを、素晴らしいと思う。

ブリューの最新ソロ・アルバム。　一言で言えば傑作。
クリムゾン関係のソロ・アルバムとしては、2003に発表されたウォーレスの 『 Happiness with minimal side effects 』 以来の素晴らしい作品だと思う。　バンド編成の曲も多重録音の曲も、趣味に走りすぎることなく完成度が高い。
仮にクリムゾンが固定メンバーでずっと続いていて、 メンバーによる初のソロ・アルバムが本作品だとしよう。　ミュージシャンを大袈裟に褒める70年代のライナーだったら、こんな感じになるのかもしれない。
「クリムゾンのメンバーによる初のソロ・アルバムが、エイドリアン・ブリューから届けられた。　クリムゾンの陽気な部分を担当しているイメージが強いブリューだけに、ソロ・アルバムも彼のポップな面が強調された作品になるものだと思っていた。　しかし私の想像は良い意味で裏切られた。　80年代から90年代のクリムゾンの様々なサウンドがミックスされ、より深化させたような作品である。　私は今までブリュー対して、同じギターリストであるフリップのサイド・マン的イメージを持っていた。　しかし、本作品を聴いた今、彼こそがクリムゾンのサウンドの要であると確信している！」

３部作としてアナウンスされている、Side シリーズの第二弾。
前作 『 Side One 』 との決定的な違いは、バンド形式の楽曲が収録されていないこと。　もちろん前作においてもバンド形式の楽曲は3曲のみで、それ以外は本作と同じブリューによる多重録音の楽曲ばかりなのだが、その3曲の出来が素晴らしかっただけに、本作の印象は若干地味である。
とはいえ多重録音の楽曲も評価に困る実験音楽風の作品ではなく、ブリューの歪みまくったギター・ソロを堪能することができ、打ち込み（ V-Drums？）の音さえ気にしなければなかなか味わい深い。
『 Side Three 』 の予告として、「 the more eclectic approach of previous solo efforts including surprising guests 」 とライナーに記載してあるのがとても気になる。　やっぱりフリップなのだろうか？

”In The Flesh?” と ”The Show Must Go On” といった、美味しい位置づけの曲でのヴォーカルは、一生懸命唄っています、といったところ。
ギターで参加している2曲のヴォーカルはウェットン。　スタジオで顔を合わせた可能性は少ないと思うが、珍しい組み合わせだと思う。

『 Side Two 』 において、「 the more eclectic approach of previous solo efforts including surprising guests 」 と予告された結果は、フリップとコリンズの参加であった。
『 Side One 』 以来のバンド形式の楽曲が収められていることもあり、前作よりも印象は派手。　脱力感が漂うブリューのラップ（もどき）に目をつぶれば、全体に佳作が多く楽しめる内容。　個人的好みで言えば、One -> Three -> Two の順番になる。
しかしこの３部作、なんで日本盤では発売されないのだろう？　内容が良いだけに残念。
しばらくしたら3枚組BOXセット国内独占販売！、なんてことになりそうな気もして、ちょっと怖い。

仲間同士の活動から始まり、ビートルズの香りが良質に漂う作品を不定期に出し続けた後、大味なライヴ・アルバムを出したことで活動が一区切りしたと思っていたベアーズのスタジオ作品。 本作品以降アルバムはリリースされていない。
仲間内で楽しみすぎたライヴ・アルバムから方向性を変えようとしたのか、プロフェッショナルかつ良質な作品に仕上がっている。 ビートルズの香りは薄まっているもののポップかつサイケな楽曲は魅力的で、この時期エイドリアン・ブリューがソロでリリースした連作 『 Side 』 にも完成度は負けていない。
日本ではフリップが参加した 『 Car Caught Fire 』 と前述したライヴしかベアーズの作品はリリースされていないのが、もったいない事だと思う。

ナイン・インチ・ネイルズの全篇インストの作品。
ブリューが参加しているナイン・インチ・ネイルズの作品の中で、その活躍度が最も高いのが本作品である。 従来はどちらかと言えばノイズ等の飛び道具として使われることが多かったのだが、ヴォーカル・パートが無いためか、ギター・ソロがフィーチャーされるケース増えているためである。
この時期のブリューは、傑作 Side シリーズ3部作をリリースした後でもあり、充実した音楽活動を行っていたと言える。 それだけに、本作リリース同年のクリムゾンの再結成が、8月のアメリカ・ツアーで頓挫してしまったのが残念である。

エイドリアン・ブリュー・パワー・トリオ編成でのスタジオ・ライヴをブリュー名義で発表した作品。
10数回のライヴで活動が頓挫した5人編成のクリムゾン（ブリュー、フリップ、レヴィン、マステロット、ハリソン）クリムゾンの後、ブリューはパワー・トリオでの活動、それを包含した The Crimson ProjeKct での活動を活発化させていくのだが、本作品は正にそんな中でリリースされている。
強力なベース&ドラムのリズム隊に触発されたのか、ブリューはシーケンシャル・フレーズであってもいつも以上にハードなギターを演奏している。 この路線がそのままクリムゾンに反映されたら、それはそれでとても面白かったと思う。
