2000年5月に 『 The ConstruKction Of Light 』 をリリースしたキング・クリムゾンは、同年5,6,10,11月にツアーを行っている。 そのクリムゾンのツアーが終了したのが11月24日、その4日後にフリップはこのサウンドスケイプスのライヴを行っている。
昼夜2回、3日間連続公演を行ったのはワールド・フィナンシャル・センターで、この翌年の2001年9月11日のアメリカ同時多発テロで倒壊した場所である。
昼の部に40分前後、夜の部に1時間前後という構成は3日間共通で、これは会場側の制約によるものと思われるが、演奏自体も劇的な変化は無い。

ワールド・フィナンシャル・センターでの2日目の昼夜の演奏を収録した作品。
この日の夜に演奏された ” Affirming ” は、DGM Live の解説には 「The evening concert includes Affirming which appeared on the 2005 Robert Fripp album, Love Cannot Bear under the title of Requiem - Affirming. 」 と記載されている（下線はKCDB）。
一方、2005年にリリースされたその 『 Love Cannot Bear 』 には、「 World Financial Center, New York, last part of the lunchtime performance, November 29th, 2000 」 と記載されている。
一聴して判る程サウンドスケイプスには精通していないのだが、聴き比べてみると DGM Live の解説の方が正しいように思える。

ワールド・フィナンシャル・センターでの最終日の昼夜の演奏を収録した作品。
曲数、曲名の違いこそあれ、基本的には3日間同様の演奏をしていることが改めて良く判る。
この日以降 DGM Live を確認する限り、フリップは 2004年 の G3 ツアー までサウンドスケイプスの公演を行っていない。
またワールド・フィナンシャル・センター再建後の 2010年 に、改めて同じ場所でサウンドスケイプスの単独公演を行っている。

ワールド・フィナンシャル・センターでの演奏は、DGM Live からダウンロード・リリースされる前に WNYC-FM の NEW SOUNDS という番組で放送され、暫くの間その番組サイトで聴くことができた。

3日間の演奏を1時間以内にコンパクトにまとめた内容は判りやすかっただけに、今は聴くことができないのが残念である。
