とクレジットされている、クリムゾン初の編集盤。
選曲については色々と議論されるところも多いが、2LPというメディア、リリース時期を考慮すれば妥当なところかもしれない。
本作品のウリは以下の点
Giles, Giles & Fripp 時代の ”I Talk To The Wind
” の収録
グレッグ・レイク加入＆ピーター・ジャイルズ脱退前の、ジュディ・ダイブルがヴォーカルをとるバージョン。
アコースティック色が強いアレンジは、『 In The Court Of The Crimson King
』
収録バージョンに比べ凡庸なものである。 再発CDの中古盤は1,000円程度であるにも拘わらず、オリジナルLPは何かの間違いとしか思えないような数万円もの高値がついている女性ヴォーカルのトラッドもの。 このままの路線で進んでいったとしたら、せいぜいそんな程度のものであったであろう。
演奏者の詳細クレジット
曲が収録されているアルバムのクレジットを流用するのではなく、同じアルバムに収録されている曲でも、曲毎に別々に担当パートをクレジットしている。（とは言え、間違いもあるけど）
Groon ” の収録
シングルだけでリリースされた ”Cat Food ”
のＢ面が収録されている。
ブックレットの添付
ただし、LP、CDいずれにおいても日本語訳は添付されていない。
最後の2つは、『 Frame By Frame 』
がリリースされたことにより、重要性は無くなっている。
CD化は日本においてのみフリップの許可の元1990年に1年間限定でリリースされている。 そのためか、中古盤として5,000円以上の値付けされているのを時々見かける。
