DGM初のコンピレーション・アルバム。　
結局未発表で終わった、『 1999 Soundscapes Live in Argentina 』 のリマスター盤からの ” 2006 ” や、『 Soundbites : 1995 Soundscapes Volume IV 』からの ” Scanning II ” が収録されていることも貴重だと思うが、サウンドスケイプものだけに同音源が別作品で使われている可能性も充分にある。
しかし、そんな未発表曲にとらわれなくても、コンピレーションとしての充実度は高く、プロモーションとしての役割を充分に果たしていると思う。
日本語ブックレットをみると、ほとんどの作品を当時DGMと契約していた PONY CANYON がリリースしていることに驚かされる。　Gitbox なんかほとんど売れなかったと思うのに、よく頑張ったと思う。
この辺り、現在DGMと契約しているユニバーサルは、もっと見習ってもらいたい。

DGMの2枚目＆（現在の所）ラストのコンピレーション・アルバム。　
DGMの拡大路線の最中にリリースされたこともあり、クリムゾン、フリップが関与していない作品も多く収められている。　その結果当時の DGM の実体を偏ることなく俯瞰することができる一方、購入者の殆どがクリムゾンのフアンということを踏まえると、CDプレイヤーのスキップ・ボタンを押される可能性は、前作以上に大きいことになったと思う。
DGM 側もそうなることはわかっていたと思え、価格も安く抑え（日本盤も2000円以下！）たり、『 deja VROOOM 』 に添付したり、プロモーションに徹したアプローチを行っていた。
DGM 側の意図を全く無視した聴き方をすると、本作品一番のウリは、ProjeKct One の ” 4(i) ” が収録されていることである。　『 Live at the Jazz Cafe 』 に収録されている ” 4 ii 1 ” とは明らかに別ミックスであり、ProjeKct シリーズのフアン（いるのか？）にとっては貴重なテイクだと思う。
