ロバート・フリップ&ザ・リーグ・オブ・クラフティ・ギターリスツ（以下LOCG）の最初の作品。
本作品がリリースされた時の戸惑いを、今でも覚えている。 Discipline Crimson が活動停止した後、フリップ関係の情報がほとんど無い中リリースされたためである。 ギター・クラフトの存在も、スタンダード・チューニングについても知識が無いまま本作品に向き合ったため、リーグ・オブ・クラフティ・ギターリスツという新「バンド」かと思ったりした。 さらに10分弱のフリッパートロニクスによる ” The New World ” が収録されているため、アルバムとしての統一感も無くなっている。
ただフリップの活動作品、に飢えていたこともあり、結構な回数を聴き込んだという思い入れもある。 その後カリフォルニア・ギター・トリオやザ・ロバート・フリップ・ストリング・クィンテットで使い回される楽曲もあり、今では違和感なく聴けるようになっている。 反復というものは恐ろしい。

この共演がきっかけで結婚にいたったとされる、曰く付き（？）作品。
両サイドとも、フランク・Ｒ・ストックトン作による物語を、トーヤが淡々と朗読している。
”Lady Or The Tiger? ” は、ループ間隔が短いフリッパートロニクスといったような音が29分48秒ひたすら続く。　フリップの全作品の中で、演奏時間が一番長い作品となる。
”The Discourager Of Hesitancy ” には、LOCG が参加している。　フリップが LCG とともに演奏しているかは不明。　前半はトーヤの朗読に合いの手のようにギターが絡むだけだが、後半はある程度 「 曲 」 らしい演奏に近づく。

本作品がリリースされたのは1991年は未だインターネットが普及しておらず、LOCG 名義の作品がリリースされたことに唐突感があったし、そもそもパーマネントな活動をしているとは思ってもいなかった。
実際には 『 Live! 』 リリース後も年に数回活動していたことや、ギタークラフトという存在自体が今では容易に判るようになったが、当時は本作品の位置付けが全く理解できなかった。 ギターのアンサンブルは 『 Live! 』 と同じだし、唐突の女性ヴォーカルが割り込んでくるしで、こんなことよりもクリムゾンとしての活動を早く復活して欲しいと思ったことを記憶している。
この後カリフォルニア・ギター・トリオがでてきて、更にはザ・ロバート・フリップ・ストリング・クィンテットが出てくるとは思ってもいなかった当時、それはそれで幸せだったかもしれない。

本作品がリリースされたのは1995年というのは、Double Trio Crimson が活動していて、DGM がクリムゾン関連作品をバンバンとリリースしていて、それをポニーキャニオンが日本盤でリリースしていた時期である。 1991年のライヴを収録した本作品がリリースされたのも、そんな流れの中でのことである。
このライヴのおよそ1ヶ月後に LOCG は一旦その活動を終了することになる。 つまりそれなりに場数を踏んだ段階での演奏であり、そのためかコミカルな楽曲/演奏を交えた余裕が垣間見える内容となっている。
ただ、作品自体に魅力があるかと問われると、その返事はごまかさざるを得ない。

メンバーの出入りや、活動時期も関係なく、LOCG を思いっきり堪能するための作品を1つ選べと問われたら、多分本作になるのだと思う。
1.5時間というヴォリュームは39曲（語り含む）という曲数からすると少ないが、途中から曲の切れ目も判らなくなり、なんだが一つの固まりを聴いているように思えてくる。
満足感というより、too much 感が強く感じられる作品ではあることは否めない。

本作品は、元々 LOCG のコンサート会場で販売していたものを、現在は DGM Live でダウンロード販売をしている。 同じように会場オンリーで販売されていた作品に 『 Get Crafty I 』 という作品があり、こちらも DGM Live でダウンロード販売をしてもらいたい。
短めな楽曲のみ23曲で50分以内という構成は、演奏者が多いことが制限となり単調になりがちな LOCG の作品の中でも聴きやすく、『 Live! 』 の次に聴く作品としては、フィジカル・ディスクの 『 Show Of Hands 』 や 『 Intergalactic Boogie Express 』 より適していると思う。

DGM Live で確認してみると、1991年4月で LOCG名義 の活動は一旦終了しており、その後2006年6月から再活動している。 本作品は、その再活動後のライヴを収録した唯一のものである。
過去からの楽曲の演奏速度は総じて早くなっており、これが演奏メンバーの新陳代謝によるものなのか、あるいは再活動後の LOCG の基本コンセプトなのかは、この時期のライヴがもう少しリリースされてからでないと判らない。
再活動前はクリムゾン風の楽曲を後付で ” Larks' Thrak ” と名付けていたのに対し、再活動後の本作では ” THRAK ”、” VROOOM ”、” Coda Marine 475 ” とそのままのタイトルで披露している。 ただ ” THRAK ” についてはオリジナルの変奏曲といった内容になっている。
