「 The Complete Recording Sessions 」とクレジットされ、2CD + 2Blu-ray でリリースされた 『 Larks' Tongues In Aspic 』。 2019年リリースの 『 In The Court Of The Crimson King 』 と同じくコンパクトなボックスに収録されている。

キング・クリムゾンのライヴは魅力に溢れている。
特に Lineup3 とフリップが言っている1972年から1974年にかけてのライヴは素晴らしく、最初は 『 USA 』 のみでしか知り得なかった当時のライヴが、『 The Great Deceiver  Live 1973-1974 』 や 『 The Night Watch  Live at The Amsterdam Concertgebouw November 23rd 1973 』 のリリースを経て大量のBOX、The King Crimson Collectors' Club のネット通販、そして DGM Live からのダウンロード…… と尽きることなくリリースされるのがひたすら嬉しい。

この時期のライヴは意図的に試みているアレンジの変更やインプロも凄いのだが、演奏ミスや機材トラブル、そしてそれらへの問題への対処もスリリングで楽しむことができる。 ライヴ作品の数だけ新たな発見があり、新しい作品を聞き続けたいという欲求を抑えることができない。

一方スタジオ・アルバムにおいても同じようにその違いを楽しむことができれば良いのだが、個人的には中々それが難しい。
オリジナルを聴き込み過ぎていることがその原因なのだと思うが、「違いを味わう」ことよりも「違いが気になる」ことに終始してしまう。

本作品にはスティーヴン・ウィルソンによる 2023 Mix、ダヴィッド・シングルトンによる Elemental Mixes、そして1973年1月16日から2月1日までのセッション音源が主コンテンツとして収録されている。
ただ前述の通りの私は、主コンテンツよりも1999年にリリースされた30周年リマスターの方が楽しめた。
